While we all know about the joys of befriending domesticated animals, not everyone is aware of just how amazing farm animals are, too. Unfortunately, many farm animals suffer unspeakable abuse. The lucky few are rescued, finding sanctuary in such safe places as Star Gazing Farm in Maryland. If you love animals, you’ll definitely want to visit this heartwarming sanctuary, where you can meet some of the furry, fuzzy, and feathered residents.

Each of the animals at Star Gazing Farm has their own story of survival and their own personality. Madison the sheep, for example, is a friendly soul, preferring companionship with humans rather than his fellow sheep.
