Do you like visiting old buildings where the history is hundreds of years old? Kansas isn’t full of old buildings like many of our older states, but we are lucky to have plenty of buildings from when Kansas was just a baby state. This Kansas opera house is an old building we can’t get enough of, and luckily it’s open for visiting as well as shows, both musical and film.

The opera house might have been opened in 1889, but it wasn’t truly finished. The lower level of the opera house was never put together until the renovation of the whole building in 2010. It may have taken over 100 years to finish it, but the whole place looks better for the effort.
