With Memorial Day right around the corner, you’re probably making a list and checking it twice of all the places we want to visit once summer is in full force. While Connecticut has plenty of sandy shoreline along the Long Island Sound, you don’t always have to head to the coast for a fantastic beach day. Martin Park Beach is a spring-fed freshwater swimming spot with refreshing water and a sandy beach perfect for swimming, splashing, and lounging.
Grab the sunscreen, swimsuits, and towels, Martin Beach Park in Ridgefield is calling! The refreshing five-acre Great Pond is mostly bordered by forest but this park has four beach areas to claim a spot.
