With the holidays right around the corner, there’s no better time than right now to start making plans. During the holiday season, several festive events take place throughout Alabama, including a few in Fairhope. Fairhope, which is located on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay in Baldwin County, Alabama, is one of the “South’s Best Small Towns,” according to Southern Living.

Fairhope hosts several events throughout the year, and one of its most popular ones during the holiday season is the Fairhope Tree Lighting Celebration. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, November 19th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
facebook/City of Fairhope At 3:30 p.m., streets will close on Section Street from Magnolia Avenue to Johnson Avenue, and on Fairhope Avenue from Church Street to Bancroft Street. This area will only be open to pedestrian traffic.
Due to COVID-19, several necessary changes have been made to this year’s celebration.

Activities during this year’s event will include letters to Santa via take-home kits, live holiday music, and photo opportunities with Mrs. Claus.
