Washington’s hiking trails are second to none, and going for a gorgeous hike is a great way to remind yourself that you’re lucky to call the Evergreen State home. Of course, some trails are more treacherous than others, and if you’re a beginner, you should spend some time on some of our easier hikes before you attempt to scale a mountain. But when you’re ready for a real challenge, we highly recommend heading straight to Mailbox Peak. This legendary spot is a true bucket list hike.
Mailbox Peak is marked by the signature mailbox at the top of the summit, which signifies the hardest part of the journey being over.
