Much of the park is covered by a prairie landscape. The wide-open fields are a beautiful departure from the forested lands that cover much of Minnesota.

Venture further into the park and you’ll find a small, rocky creek. Covered by shade, this is a cool place to take refuge from the sun if you visit on a hot day.

Follow the creek and you’ll soon discover a small but beautiful waterfall. Its several short tiers make for a beautiful scene in the quiet woods.

Venture even further into the park, and you’ll come across a deep, rock-lined gorge filled in with water. This rugged area looks out of place on the Minnesota prairie, making it that much more impressive.
