Good news, Idahoans! The beloved Lights and Lasers show that usually takes place at Shoshone Falls will be returning later this year. We were really bummed when the show was canceled due to COVID-related concerns earlier this spring, but a recent announcement confirmed that this unique Idaho tradition will be coming back full force. A few things will be different about this year’s show, including the location, so be sure to read up on everything you need to know.
It’s official! The Lights and Lasers Show in the Snake River Canyon has been rescheduled for later this year. Instead of its typical spring date, the event will now take place September 24-27, 2020.

Keep in mind that this year’s event will be a little different from previous years. The biggest change is that Perrine Coulee Falls will be illuminated by lasers and lights, not Shoshone Falls. Although we love seeing Shoshone Falls all lit up, we’re equally excited about this new experience!

Of course, this means that the event will not take place at Shoshone Falls Park. Instead, ticket-holders will congregate at Canyon Springs Golf Course where there will be plenty of room to spread out and see the falls from afar.

Several new health and safety precautions will be implemented at this year’s event as well. This will include things like 6-foot spacing between groups, touchless check-in, and ample sanitizing stations and masks for public use.

The Lights and Lasers Show has attracted thousands of guests in the past, so a bigger location is definitely a good thing! It may be a different setting than we’re used to, but the experience of seeing the canyon and waterfall illuminated with lasers will be just as awe-inspiring.

General admission to the event is $12 for adults and $7 for kids. Kids five years and younger are admitted free of charge. General admission ticket-holders can enjoy musical entertainment and food vendors before the event. A VIP option includes a sit-down dinner in the clubhouse before the show, as well.

Tickets to the event are already on sale at Visit Southern Idaho. All proceeds from the event go towards promoting and developing the Magic Valley. See the Snake River Canyon in a whole new light and mark your calendars now for this beloved event!
