While drive-in movie theaters are once again becoming all the rage around the country, Florida is about to take the cake in terms of the biggest theater. Lighthouse 5 in Florida is potentially going to be the largest drive-in movie theater in the world, setting up shop in Eustis. This five-screen drive-in cinema will not only be the largest in the entire world, but it will also have on-site restaurants, and even camping, too! Google Maps While Florida is already home to some of the oldest drive-in movie theaters in the country, soon it will hold the title for the world’s largest drive-in theater.
Lighthouse 5 has been proposed by the CEO of Veritas Theatres, Spencer Folmar, who wants to feature a five-screen outdoor theater that is unlike any other.
Facebook Eustis Drive-In Movie Theater It’s not just going to be an outdoor movie theater though, it will also have on-site restaurants, camping, and tons more activities to make it an all-inclusive place to hang.
The first hurdle for the proposed theater was passed back in March, which is helping to clear the way for the build.
Facebook Eustis Drive-In Movie Theater Folmar envisions the 72-acre property as a family destination and wants to reignite tourism to the town where he was born.
While the build would happen in phases, according to Folmar, the first phase would start with the five-screen movie theater and then move on to the camping and RV grounds.
