Leeds Public House opened in Michigan City in the summer of 2019 after many months of anticipation by the locals. A year later, this eatery is a beloved treasure, and it still has that buzzing “new hot spot” energy. But the building and the story behind it go back much, much further — and somehow, that just makes this place even more enticing.

The historic Leeds building was first constructed in 1837 and rebuilt in 1903.
