Scioto Audubon Metro Park in Columbus is actually home to the largest free outdoor climbing wall in the country. If you’re looking for something fun and unique to do outside, this lovely park makes a great day trip destination.

Welcome to Scioto Audubon Metro Park, a hidden gem in central Ohio that simply doesn’t get enough attention.

Covering 6,100 square feet and reaching up to 35 feet high, the rock wall is one of the park’s most impressive features.

The main climbing wall features three towers and two arches. There are also 10-foot boulders that kids can climb.

Bouldering, top rope and lead climbing is available here and climbers must be at least 13 years old.
