We all know that New Hampshire’s ocean coast is smaller than many of the surrounding states. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have more than enough opportunities to visit the beach! You can fight the crowds at the coast or you can head inland to visit one of the many lakes that dot the landscape. This one, in a fun state park, is a sight to see and the waters are so clear.

The beach offers one of the sandiest shorelines in the state and there’s plenty of room to spread out. Keep in mind that things here do get busy in the summer, but capacity is kept to a minimum to ensure safety and distance.

Mt. Sunapee State Park is open year-round from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for all types of activities including boating and skiing. Entry is $5 for adults and $2 for kids 6 to 11.
