What you may notice about this brick wall is that upon closer inspection, it’s not flat or painted whatsoever. Instead, it’s a completely beautiful carved scene.

The Whole Wall Mural is 140 feet long, and uses 6,400 bricks in total. In the USA, this is the #1 longest 3-D sculpted brick mural.

This stunning mural by Catharine Magel (designer) and Mara Smith (lead sculptor) covers the exterior wall of a local museum building, and features highlights of the history of Cloud County.

Notable carvings to spot are the beehive kilns that made these very bricks, churches, the train, wheat, and beautiful sunflowers.

If you’d like to visit the museum, they are open from Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise stated.
