Winter is a beautiful season in West Virginia, but it can also be a long, cold, dark one. And in long, cold, dark seasons, fun ways to get out and try something different become all the more precious…which is why we definitely recommend heading to Canaan Valley Resort to strap on some ice skates and take a loop or two around the rink, all the while enjoying some beautiful mountain views!

Canaan Valley’s ice rink is partially open-air: you’re protected from the weather by the roof above your head, but you can still enjoy magnificent mountain views as you skate thanks to the only partially enclosed walls.
