If you’re looking for an adventure in the woods, you can’t do much better than Hazel Falls and Caves Trail in Shenandoah National Park. Beautiful in all seasons, this trek promises views, fresh air, and seclusion.

The trail is located within Shenandoah National Park, which does require an entrance fee to enter. For easy access to the trail, park at Meadow Spring parking lot at mile 33 on Skyline Drive.

The hike is considered to be relatively easy, as it gradually descends downhill on its way to the waterfall. Hikers have noted that the trail is in good condition and well-marked.

As you approach the waterfall, you’ll notice two caves, one of which is obvious. The other is more obscured. The last 0.2 miles of the trail are the steepest and most strenuous.
