High Knob Tower Trail Is The Best Scenic Overlook In West Virginia

Nestled right along the border with Virginia, High Knob Tower Trail is a 2.7-mile hike in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests. It’s an adventure suitable for any time of year, as the seasons boasts entirely unique, yet equally beautiful scenery.

The trail is uphill on the way in, with an elevation gain of just under 700 feet. Luckily, ample shade keeps you comfortable, even in the summer – not to mention the incredible views that make up for the slight challenge.
