We all know Spaghetti Warehouse is haunted, but it’s not the only restaurant with documented paranormal activity. Nestled inside a charming little cottage in Tomball, Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue in Texas has enough ghosts running amok to earn a spot on the Travel Channel’s TV show “Trending Fear.”
With humble beginnings as a farmers market booth, Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue quickly gained enough traction to move into a brick-and-mortar building. A cafe was soon added to attract more customers, and what better cuisine than barbecue to steal the hearts of locals?

Its unique combination of menu items isn’t all that sets this unassuming little cottage apart. Workers have been experiencing phenomena that can only be described as paranormal, including doors swinging open, unexplained shadows, and unidentifiable sounds.

Security camera footage of this alleged spectral activity caught the attention of “Trending Fear,” a series on the Travel Channel. The crew managed to capture some orbs, knocking sounds, and a disembodied voice stating “we are in the shadows” on film.

Since the activity has been going on since Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue opened more than four years ago, it’s become part of everyday life for the workers. Many customers visit in hopes of having an encounter themselves, with the promise of delicious food whether or not a ghost decides to rear its invisible head.
