There have been all sorts of spooky sightings at this hotel, which was first built in 1845 and quickly attracted all sorts of rich visitors thanks to the mineral springs nearby, which were rumored to have healing properties. But which guests just couldn’t bear to leave the stunning hotel behind?
The French Lick Springs hotel is supposedly home to many spirits, and the most famous one has to be the former owner Thomas Taggert.

Thomas Taggert ran the hotel in the early 1900s, and turned it into a world-class resort, thanks to its location near mineral springs.

But Thomas Taggert apparently isn’t content to leave his hotel behind. He’s rumored to hang out by the service elevator and has been spotted multiple times by staff.

There’s also rumored to be heavy spectral activity on the sixth floor (if you’re brave enough to book a room there).

Visitors have reported hearing disembodied voices, and randomly smelling tobacco smoke despite no one being nearby.

Staff has also reported phantom phone calls to the front desk. When they picked up the phone… no one was there.
