Spanning more than 12,000 acres across the Red River backwater system, the Spiring Bayou WMA is one of the most perfect places for nature lovers to enjoy.

It’s located in the low-lying Red River backwater system near Marksville, just off of LA Hwy 115 and 452.

There are trails that will take you around the wildlife management area, but because the area is about 40% water, the best way to see this enchanting oasis is by boat.
