At the confluence of the Little Kanawha and the Ohio Rivers stands an old Civil War fort site overlooking Parkersburg, West Virginia that is now one of the areas favorite city parks. In addition to some fascinating history, this park, known as Fort Boreman Park, is known far and wide as the spot to come if you want to enjoy some absolutely spectacular views.

The Ohio River is on full, glorious display here at Fort Boreman Park, and you can see it from many vantage points as you stroll the park grounds.
