Tucked away in the heart of good old Shreveport lies the American Rose Center.

Sprawling across 118 acres, it’s the largest park dedicated to roses in the entire country, and worthy of a visit any time of year.

But during the month of December, the gardens transform into a dazzling light show that’s one of their largest fundraisers of the year.

This year marks their 37th year, and they’re pulling out all the stops. Be sure to pop into the gift shop for some hot chocolate before you make your way around the garden.

As you stroll through the grounds, you’ll be met with enchanting holiday displays, thousands of twinkling lights, and maybe even a special Santa sighting or two. There’s even a holiday train ride the little ones will enjoy!

One of the most popular displays are the assortment of Christmas Cards to the community. Made by kids from local schools, these huge displays are 8 feet tall and will certainly spread a little holiday cheer.

Admission to Christmas in Roseland is just $5 per person, with free entry for those tiny tots 2 and younger.
