There’s nothing quite like a cascading waterfall. Luckily, we’ve got several here in Wisconsin. Even luckier, some can be reached with minimal effort on our part. One such waterfall is Morgan Falls, a towering waterfall that’s situated at the end of a 0.75-mile trail. Take a look:
Nestled within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, you’ll find the St. Peter’s Dome State Natural Area.

Morgan Falls is stunning year-round; however, it’s important to remember that in winter, the fall’s flow slows to a trickle.

Once you’re finished exploring Morgan Falls, consider checking out St. Peter’s Dome. A bit more strenuous but completely worth it, the trek to St. Peter’s Dome spans nearly two miles one-way and is quite rugged and steep.

However, as the highest point in Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, St. Peter’s Dome offers views that are both unparalleled and expansive.
