Welcome to Flamig Farm, a century-old farm nestled in a tiny community of West Simsbury in Hartford County.

Founded in 1907, this picture-perfect farm is most well-known for their massive backwards EGGS sign on the side of the barn. What was supposed to be an advertisement ended up being too big for it to pass through zoning (the letters are almost 5-foot tall) so they decided to stick the letters up against their barn backwards and call it “art.”

There’s a lot to do here at Flamig Farm. Offered on the weekends from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., pony rides are one of the farm’s most popular activities.
