Oregon’s State Parks System is a treasure trove of natural wonders all across the state. Some parks are very popular, but there are also some hidden gems just waiting to be explored, and Elijah Bristol State Park is one of them! Check out this pretty park with 14 miles of trails to explore.
Elijah Bristol State Park: Dexter, OR 97431
Elijah Bristol State Park is a beautiful day-use area located just 17 miles south of Eugene. The park is open year-round, and there’s plenty to see and do here.

The Willamette River runs through this 847-acre natural wonderland, providing anglers with opportunities to snag a trout or salmon. Kayakers can put in to start their journey on the Willamette River Water Trail here, too.

The best way to spend the day exploring the park is via its 14 miles of hiking trails, which take you through forests, fields, and wetlands.

There are several different trails to choose from.
Jason Rowe/Google Turtle Trail and Oak Trail are each one mile long; Angler’s Trail and Elk Trail are each two miles long; the Heron Trail takes you on a winding path that’s three miles long, and the River Trail follows the Willamette for five miles.
