With Washingtonians being encouraged to explore our own backyards this year, it comes as no surprise that local hikers have been discovering new nature trails and checking bucket list hikes off their lists left and right. If you’ve hit a trail or two this summer and you’re up for a challenge before the season ends, check out the enchanting Anderson Lake and Watson Lake Trail. As the name implies, you’ll see two gorgeous backcountry lakes on your journey.
You’ll find the Anderson Lake and Watson Lake near the town of Concrete, in the Mount Baker Snoqualmie Forest.

This is a relatively challenging trek, and if you’re a hiking novice, you might want to get a bit more experience under your belt before you attempt it. That being said, it’s also a feasible hike for families with older children.
