The Route 66 Pedestrian Underpass can be found at Walnut Street and West 6th Street in Chelsea. Just look for the sign on the corner and you’ll see the stairs leading down underground.

The underpass had been abandoned for years before it was revived by the town in 2016. It’s now a Route 66 attraction, drawing in thousands of visitors every year.
