Few things in life are free, but thanks to Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation, a visit to Wheeler Historic Farm won’t cost you a single dime. This pretty park includes a historic home and barn, playground, farm animals, and hiking trails.

In 1884, newlyweds Sariah and Henry Joseph Wheeler purchased a farm from Sariah’s mother. For 56 years, the Wheeler family ran Rose Bud Dairy and raised seven children.

When the Wheelers first moved in, there was an old adobe house on the property. Sariah wanted something a bit fancier, so the Victorian farm house was built in 1898.

Today, Wheeler Farm is a Salt Lake County park. It encompasses 75 acres of land, and it’s a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. The best part? Admission to this historic farm is free!
