Most Beautiful Caves in Michigan January 18, 2021 Sarah What are some other beautiful caves in Michigan? You might not know this, but Michigan is home to a variety of beautiful caves. One of our favorites, the Pictured Rocks caverns, are a favorite. Pictured Rocks has it all: sandstone cliffs, beaches, sand dunes, waterfalls, inland lakes, deep forest, and wild shoreline. Lake Superior shapes the park’s coastal features and affects every ecosystem, creating a unique landscape to explore. Visitors can do it all at this National Park: hiking, camping, sightseeing, and four-season outdoor recreation. What is Michigan’s most scenic hike? Michigan is full of scenic beauty, but the Miners Falls Trail ranks at the top of the list in terms of “most scenic” hikes. This 1.2 mile hike will take you to one of the most amazing waterfalls in all of Michigan, and is absolutely worth the trip. Are there any underground caves in Michigan? For the ultimate underground caving experience, head to Ontonagon County, a small town at the base of the Keweenaw Peninsula in the western side of the Upper Peninsula. Here, the Adventure Mining Company offers four guided underground tours of one of the best preserved copper mines in Michigan. Visitors can walk through part or all of the tunnels on the first level, or try their hand at rappelling with a rope and harness to the second level of the mine. It’s an unforgettable experience for adventure seekers.
