We’ve seen quite a bit of change this year and there’s no doubt that things feel different. But that doesn’t mean we can’t find ways to enjoy life. Getting outside is a great way to remember what we love about being in New Hampshire. And so is dining out. Now that the weather is a bit colder, we’re loving the new and inventive ways that local eateries are creating a safe space for us to enjoy a meal. One of our favorites is this cozy spot offering one of the most unique ways to dine!

You might already be familiar with 1750 Taphouse in Bedford. They serve some of the best food in the area, after all. But this winter they’re changing the way they serve their patrons and we think you’re going to love it!

Typically, you’d come in and sit in their large dining room. The space is both large and airy, but also nice and cozy.

And, of course you can’t help but love the smell of that brick oven pizza.

They offer tons of different dishes, including burgers, sandwiches, and large entrees.

That’s exactly why this is a go-to spot for locals who know they want good food, but aren’t entirely sure what they’re in the mood for.

And while we already loved the menu, the introduction of outdoor igloo dining is what we’re really craving now!

In order to ensure that patrons feel safe throughout the winter, many restaurants are looking for inventive ways of allowing folks to sit outside. The only problem? Things can get pretty cold in New Hampshire! The solution is these incredible heated igloos.

While actual igloos won’t quite work here, these plastic ones have the same feel. And the fireplace inside ensures things are extra-cozy.

Some igloos offer comfy lounge seating, while others offer the traditional dining set-up. But both are great for social-distanced outdoor dining with your household.

We love the changing colors that add to the vibe at night, but if you arrive before the sun goes down things are just as fun.

And, of course, the same delicious menu is still available. From hearty, comfort foods to drinks you’ll have a hard time leaving when your reservation is over.

1750 Taphouse is open Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday through Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. You can reserve an igloo for 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. Each reservation allows diners to enjoy their space for an hour and 45 minutes. Between each party there’s a thorough cleaning before the next is seated.
