Like the rest of the country, Coloradans have had to get creative during the Covid-19 pandemic to stay both safe and sane during these uncertain times. During the warm summer and fall months, outdoor dining became the norm for most bars and restaurants, but since winter is looming its head, businesses have had to re-evaluate once again, leading places like the iconic My Brother’s Bar in Denver to set up private outdoor igloos for its patrons:
Welcome to My Brother’s Bar, the “oldest bar in Denver, continuously serving fine beers and spirits since 1873.”

With a reputation that precedes itself, My Brother’s Bar is working hard to keep its patrons safe and happy amid the Covid-19 pandemic, beginning with heated domes that resemble igloos.

Dubbed “snow globes” by co-owner Danny Newman (in an interview with 9News), the igloo-like domes at My Brother’s Bar are primarily solar-powered, but also contain small space heaters for those days and nights where the sun will not suffice.

Each dome seats up to 6 guests (though they are currently set up for 4 at a time) and - according to Newman - will soon feature individual themes.

In addition to the 6 domes (that also boast exhaust fans to cycle air out), My Brother’s Bar has also introduced a large outdoor tent that can seat and safely space up to 30 guests.
