When winter finally descends upon the Palmetto State, most of us are ready to feel a chill in the air after the sweltering heat of the summer. But for those who aren’t quite ready to stay indoors all winter long, one restaurant in Columbia has taken the liberty of installing transparent igloos in its back yard so patrons can dine under the stars all winter long.

The igloos are made of PVC with a clear covering so you’ll have the feeling of being outside, while safely tucked within your own pod. Aside from the aesthetics, this really takes social distancing to the next level!

Reservations are easy using Publico’s online igloo reservation system. Of course, all require a minimum amount of food and drink expenditures, depending upon the total size of your party.

The igloos are clearly large enough to easily accommodate six or eight people, but you can reserve an igloo for as few as two if you’re going for a romantic evening under the stars.
