No two Montanans are alike, but admittedly, it isn’t easy to find one who doesn’t enjoy a great steak. And while we have some fantastic steakhouses scattered across the Treasure State, today we’re giving a special shout-out to a laid back eatery in Kalispell that specializes in prime rib. If you have yet to have a meal at JAGZ Restaurant, you’ll definitely want to change that.

JAGZ is located right on US-2 E in Kalispell, where it has been since its 2004 opening.

JNCB / TripAdvisor The eatery was opened by the current executive chef, Jeffry Gregoire, and his wife, Amy.

The ambiance here is cozy, comfortable, and completely welcoming.

Trish_from_ATX / TripAdvisor Jeff and Amy believe in the concept of “fine dining Montana-style,” which means serving delicious food in a beautiful but relaxed atmosphere.

JAGZ is great for a date night, a family outing, or enjoying a solo meal.

Jen Arterbury / Google The food is prepared with fresh, local ingredients whenever possible.

There are about 65 items on the menu here, including fresh seafood, salads, and burgers… but most people come here for the steaks.

Mike C / TripAdvisor Specifically, the prime rib does extremely well.

The slow-roasted prime rib is served in four cuts, ranging from 8 oz. to 12 oz.

Shirley Massey / Google The prime rib is available nightly, but it does sell out. Having an earlier dinner will eliminate that worry.

No matter how much delicious prime rib you manage to eat, you’ll definitely want to save room for dessert here.

Frantessa Palmetier / Google Chef Jeffry prepares them fresh daily, and they are second to none.

JAGZ Restaurant is open daily at 4:30 for dinner service.

Eddie C / FourSquare They close at 8:30 p.m. most nights, but on Fridays and Saturdays, you can hang out until 9.
