When was the last time you attended a classic Montana festival? Despite having a natural knack for social distancing, Montanans do love to come together and celebrate life. And as luck would have it, the annual SNoFLINGA in Butte will be taking place in January once again. Things will definitely be different this year, but there’s still a fantastic line-up your entire family can enjoy.

SNoFLINGA is held in Butte every January, a weekend of fun meant to shine a light on the long, dark, cold winter.

SNoFLINGA is free to attend, although you’ll have to pay for your activities.

Usually, the event is full of winter events, from Nordic ski races and fat bike races to skijorning.

This event is completely family-friendly — in fact, there are usually a few special events for kids.

You’ll still be able to participate in the Nordic ski races at Homestake Lodge this year, as well as snowshoe treks and other activities that allow for proper distancing.
