Drive-ins have made quite the comeback this year, largely due to the pandemic. In addition to the local drive-ins in Missouri, several companies are putting on special events. Walmart, for example, will be hosting a series of drive-ins across the United States this fall. If you’re lucky, you might be able to snag a free ticket to the Walmart drive-in in Missouri in October.

Walmart will transform its parking lots across the United States, this fall, into classic drive-in theaters, showing such classics as “E.T.,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “Ghostbusters,” and “Space Jam.”

The family-friendly event is free, although snagging a ticket might pose a challenge. Mid-October dates in Sedalia and Raymore have already sold out.

However, Walmart advises that visitors “check back soon for added events.” Stop by Walmart Drive-In regularly to check for additional dates and cities.

If you are able to score a ticket (only one ticket is required per vehicle), you’re in for a fun and safe night out. All guests must remain in their vehicles, which will be spaced apart to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Don’t forget to bring your masks, just in case you have to get out of your vehicle. You’ll also need an FM radio, unless you want to use your car radio.

Don’t forget to bring lots of goodies, too, for the whole family to enjoy at the drive-in. However, keep in mind that alcohol is prohibited at the family-friendly event.
