Rainbows are the shooting stars of our daylight hours. I don’t care who you are, everyone loves spotting a rainbow on the horizon. It’s true, sometimes one rainbow can be a bit more breathtaking than another, maybe it’s in double rainbow form, or maybe it’s spanning a beautiful vista, but either way rainbows have that special effect on people that makes them smile. Here is a compilation we put together of stunning rainbows photos of Alaska captured from all around this beautiful state. Of course they’re all stunning, but let us know which one is your favorite! It will be hard to choose, we know.

  1. A double rainbow over a quaint Alaskan farm! The double rainbows are so hard to capture in a photograph. This is truly a stunning shot!

  1. A wide set rainbow spanning across Denali National Park. Denali National Park is known for its beauty, and this rainbow does a fantastic job of enhancing it. Who knew this Alaska scenery could get any better?

  1. I bet at the end of this rainbow is a mama bear and her cubs! Another one of the most scenic photos of Alaska that you’ll ever see. Does it get any better than this?

  1. An elegant arrival touching down near Primrose Trail in the Kenai Peninsula. There are rainbows all over the state, enhancing what is already a spectacular landscape.

  1. Looks like Eielsen is what you’ll find at the end of this beautiful rainbow. These rainbow photos of Alaska really do elevate our lovely state, if that’s even possible.

  1. Hiking through Denali National Park can get a little stormy, but look at this beauty! Definitely one of the most beautiful pictures of Alaska.

  1. Wow! Another great double rainbow over Denali. Denali seems to be coming up in first place with all of these stunning rainbow shots. This is due to the somewhat stormy weather during the summer, and the amount of tourists with cameras.

  1. A rainbow jumping off the cliffs of Becharof National Wildlife Refuge! You can find rainbows literally anywhere!

  1. I bet you’ll find a pot of gold in Humpy’s Cove in Resurrection Bay! The rainbows into the water are always gorgeous, especially if you catch a colorful reflection.

  1. A rainbow diving into the angry waters of Sanctuary River. The blues of that river just highlight the span of colors flying through the air! A stunning shot, indeed.

We don’t even need to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow — these stunning photos are reward enough.
