The mountains of North Carolina offer cooler temperatures year round, but you won’t find any store in the mountains quite like the massive gift shop found in Calabash near the coast. Located just five miles from Sunset Beach and along the South Carolina border, Callahan’s of Calabash is one of a kind and a must-visit.

From the outside looking in, the store is so huge it appears to be a number of stores — but it isn’t. It’s just one gigantic rambling store filled with nooks and crannies and specialty areas to thrill and delight even the pickiest of shoppers.
