Somewhere between Janesville and Fort Atkinson, perched on the shores of Lake Koshkonong, sits The Buckhorn Supper Club in Wisconsin. There are a myriad of wonderful, unique and delicious supper clubs in Wisconsin, but The Buckhorn seems to embody the idea of the Supper Club to a T. Off the beaten path, a bit out of the way and on a lake with a name no one but the locals can pronounce correctly, The Buckhorn has been serving up a fish fry, prime rib, and duck specials for more than 85 years.

But what really makes this place stand above the rest are the lobster boils they hold in the warmer months out on their beautiful lawn. An open flame, panoramic views, the sunset and some great drinks all while you wait for a succulent, spectacular meal — what better reasons could there be to head out for a drive?

With more than eight decades of experience, the Buckhorn is tucked away at the end of a drive and behind some lakefront homes, but so totally worth finding.

The sunsets alone are worth heading here.

Over the past ten or so years, an outdoor dining area was built and then doubled in size, making this an awesome place to dine.

Inside is a classic supper club. Order your favorite Old Fashioned, share an appetizer, and settle in for a great meal.

Did I mention the sunsets?

Though the standard steak, fish, and prime rib are on this supper club’s menu, what really makes them stand out are their specials. From the whole roasted pig that has it’s very own home…

…to the lobster boils that are as infamous as they are popular…

Folks in the area know that The Buckhorn is a true Wisconsin dining experience and one very much worth the drive.

Grab some friends, settle in for some drinks, and plan to have an over-the-top, unique and wonderful meal right in the heart of Wisconsin.
