Boo Castle Park, also known as “Dungeons and Dragons Park,” is a privately-owned memorial park located near Crab Orchard Lake and a plethora of other creeks and lakes in the beautiful, southern part of our great state.

It was opened in 1993 by a man whose son, nicknamed “Boo,” died in a car accident. Mr. Rochman bought a 3.5-acre plot of land across from his home and dedicated it as a park in his son’s name.

The park is themed D&D because Boo was a huge fan of the game. Builders and painters were hired to construct the fantasy-inspired playground pieces from wood, stone, tile, metal, and cement.

Guests may visit and play at the park for free. It is open daily between sunrise and sunset.
