The fact that Wyoming has some of the best hiking trails in the United States isn’t exactly a secret. People come from all over to try out the state’s trails and visit the national parks. Of course, that means many of the most popular hikes can feel a little overdone. Might we suggest Medicine Bow Peak Trail instead?
Located near Centennial, Wyoming, in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, the Medicine Bow Peak Trail takes you up to Medicine Bow Peak, which, at 12,013 feet, is the highest point in the Snowy Range, so you know the views are going to be awe-inspiring.
Rated “moderate” by AllTrails, the trek, which is a 3.2 mile loop trail, can be very steep in some parts. However, that swift ascent is worth it for the astonishing Wyoming views waiting for you at the top.
The Medicine Bow Peak Trail is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Wyoming, as well as one of its least-traveled.
