Even if you’re not a morning person, there’s one thing that can get us Delawareans out of bed early: a beautiful sunrise. The good news for visitors to Delaware and residents of the state is that it’s a particularly stunning place, so there is no shortage of spots to admire the sunrise or sunset.
One of our favorite spots to see the morning sky is Broadkill River. Located in southern Delaware in Sussex County, the river eventually flows into the Delaware Bay. It is great for boating, paddleboarding, and more activities. There is even an evening cruise you can take to explore the river and see the legendary sunset.
And if you’re not super interested in getting ON the water, there’s a footpath beside a portion of the Broadkill River — so you can wake up for an unbelievable sunrise stroll.
