Arata’s definitely knows a thing or two about growing pumpkins. Established in 1932, the farm is actually the oldest sustainable pumpkin farm in San Mateo County. There’s a reason Half Moon Bay is known as the “Pumpkin Capital of the West Coast,” and Arata’s Pumpkin Farm has definitely helped with that.

The farm is loaded with dozens of varieties of pumpkins during the harvest season. Be sure to ask about their specialty pumpkins and take your time to pick out the perfect pumpkin for you! It’s a VERY important decision, after all.

Every October, the farm becomes a wonderland of family-friendly attractions, the largest of which is the Minotaur’s Labyrinth Hay Maze. Challenge yourself and see if you can navigate this magnificent 2-acre straw maze without getting lost.
