The Tampa Riverwalk in Florida is a beautiful open-space area that allows residents and visitors to walk along the river, enjoying all the nearby sights and sounds. Right near the Tampa Convention Center, you’ll find yourself smack dab on the Riverwalk at what is considered to be the starting point.

Heading south from the Convention Center, you’ll hit the famed Amalie Arena, home to the Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning.

You’ll also come across the Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park, where you can bring a blanket and soak up some sunshine.

Heroes Plaza is another great stop, where visitors can pay their respects to the veterans, local police, firefighters, emergency personnel, and first responders who lost their lives on September 11th, 2009.
