Nashville has bloomed into a tourist destination in recent years, but there are still a few tricks locals have up their sleeves. Or do they?! These eight places are located all over the city and some are still a little too hidden for Nashvillians to know about. New and old, beautiful or creaky, we love each and every one of them. If you have a spare Saturday and need a book or perhaps have a bit of grumbling in your belly, we know where to go.

Her Bookshop - Facebook Her Bookshop opened quietly in East Nashville, but has gained a quick and solid following. The petite bookstore recently relocated to a space more conducive to its book event calendar and local involvement, and we couldn’t be more excited. Noelle - Facebook Noelle is another gorgeous Nashville gem tucked deep in the heart of downtown. The upscale hotel offers up a divine coffee experience on the ground floor and keeps you close to tourist attractions like the Ryman Auditorium and Nashville’s bustling downtown.
- Rare Bird - 200 Fourth Avenue N
Rare Bird - Facebook Does that address look familiar? Rare Bird is located on the top floor of Noelle, and its gorgeous views go unmatched. The stunning rooftop bar is designed with a trendy, streamlined eye and is perfect for low-key or even upscale hangs with dear friends and family.
- Hidden Lake Loop - Harpeth River State Park
Hidden Lake Loop - Facebook Harpeth River State Park is located just outside of West Nashville, and our favorite hike is the easy on the legs Hidden Lake Loop. It tucks you back out into the woods and brings you upon - yes, you guessed it - a hidden lake. You’ll even find the remains of a now defunct dance floor once used by local servicemen and their ladies back in the 1940’s.
- EiO & THE HIVE - 5304 Charlotte Avenue
EiO & THE HIVE - Facebook Good, clean, organic food is the name of the game in west Nashville’s EiO & The Hive. If the decor doesn’t have your jaw on the floor, then the delicious and expansive menu will. We’d recommend coming for brunch - their avocado toast is downright decadent and will keep you full all day!
- Fort Louise - 1304 McGavock Pike
Fort Louise - Facebook Located in an old home right by Dose and Mitchell’s Deli in east Nashville, Fort Louise has quickly proven itself to be one of the most delicious tickets in town. Make sure to snag a reservation and pitch up for brunch before this beautiful place earns its own cult following.

Beaman Park - Facebook Beaman Park is tucked away to the east of the city and it’s one of our favorite places to steal to if we’re looking to get away from the rush of the city. Come ready for hills and lush foliage, whether you’re hiking in the winter or the summertime. This gorgeous place is perfect for repeat wanderings with or without your loved ones.

Attaboy - Facebook Attaboy made waves in Nashville when it first opened its doors, but the fanfare has slowly petered out. We’d recommend pitching up at Attaboy and knocking on that nondescript door at the address above - someone will come, your drink will be perfect, and you’ll have quite the story to tell.
