Nashville is truly a beautiful space, but sometimes people can get a bit caught up in our pop culture and forget about the darling little places that surround Music City. There’s a lot of charm to our now fairly “big” city – but we know Nashville is a small town at heart. For example – ALL of this charm.

  1. Timothy Demonbreun’s Cave

Atlas Obscura One of the first in Nashville, Demonbreun lived out of this cave for quite a bit of time when he made his trek out to Middle Tennessee. It’s a landmark that’s still protected, and carries a strangely eerie mark to it.

  1. Cornelia Fort Airpark

The Tennessean Abandoned and rife with history - Patsy Cline was headed here when her plane crashed - Cornelia Fort carries an edge of strangeness to it. A story could be set here quite well, and the open landscape makes for a lovely backdrop.

  1. Tennessee State Prison

Thomas Hawk - Flickr This foreboding, castle-like structure is a stunning thing. Dark, dank, and downright creepy it’s the perfect spot for the climax of a story.

  1. Love Circle

Derek Bruff - Flickr Love grows here. Scads of folks get engaged and find themselves falling in love as they watch the flickering lights of the city. It’s a lovely thing, and you may even find another lonely heart up there, looking for someone like you.

  1. Scarritt-Bennett Center

Scarritt Bennett - TripAdvisor A venue fit for a prince and princess, we’d have the happy ending of our fairy tale end at Scarritt-Bennett Center. As in, can everyone just get married here? Thanks.

  1. The Patterson House

Patterson House - Facebook A gorgeous place with an edge of mystery? We love Patterson House for its air of mystique and delicious fare, but it would make a solid setting for some type of a story.

  1. Nashville Capitol

Ken Lund - Flickr The middle of the kingdom, the belle of the ball. We’re huge fans of the Nashville Capitol building. Located high on a hill smack dab in the middle of the city, this is a prime spot for some sort of pretty fairy tale.
