Even though the entire town of Magnolia Springs is a hidden gem in and of itself, one of the town’s best hidden gems is Jesse’s Restaurant, which has welcomed guests from all over the world.

This antebellum home was built in 1884 and is an incredible hidden gem. Another hidden gem that’s located within this charming town is Lake Eufaula. Lake Eufaula covers approximately 45,000 acres and is nicknamed the “Bass Fishing Capital of the World.”

A few of its hidden gems include the Rosenbaum House, Trowbridge’s, and the W.C. Handy Birthplace, Museum & Library. If you’re ever in the Florence area, be sure to visit these three places. However, because its history dates back further than 1540, it’s believed that Childersburg is Alabama’s oldest continually occupied city, and maybe even the oldest city in America. A couple attractions are located in this historic city that many people claim to be hidden gems, including the Kymulga Grist Mill & Covered Bridge and DeSoto Caverns.
