  1. Elk River Hiking Trail - Elk City

Pat Plumer/AllTrails 15.3 miles of beauty winds from point to point, including a lake, river, waterfall, and more than plenty of great rock features to walk around and through. It’s a tough hike, so make sure to wear your sturdy shoes and bring a stick!

  1. Turkey Creek Streamway Trail - Overland Park

Yihhaur Tsaur/AllTrails A bit shorter than the others, Turkey Creek Streamway is only 7.2 miles long. It has a little waterfall and is mostly paved, making it easier to traverse. For an easy and short hike, this might be the one.

  1. Konza Prairie Kings Creek Loop Trail - Manhattan

Charles Stark/AllTrails 4.6 miles isn’t much, especially when it loops around to the beginning. This gorgeous trail covers some of the best scenery in the Konza prairie, without the long walking over stone paths and hills. It does have a bit of elevation change, but isn’t too bad for most Kansans.

  1. Shawnee Mission Park Orange, Violet, and Red Trail - Shawnee Mission

  1. Indian Creek Bike and Hike Trail - Olathe

  1. Wyandotte County Lake Loop Trail - Kansas City
